Fucoidan Extract vs. Seaweed Powder

Seaweed powder, seaweed extract, and standardized fucoidan extract are related, but they are not interchangeable.

Whole seaweed powder

Whole seaweed powder contains the broader raw material. Its label weight is not the same thing as a disclosed fucoidan concentration.

Seaweed extract

An extract concentrates selected components, but the word “extract” alone does not tell you the fucoidan percentage, analytical method, or exact amount per serving.

Standardized fucoidan extract

Standardization sets a measurable concentration target. A percentage should still be read alongside the ingredient amount, species, method, serving size, and full label.
